When the young Viennese banker Franz Schaup started brewing beer in 1858, he did not expect his small brewery to develop into one of the most successful breweries in Austria over the years.
In the meantime, the Zipf brewery near the Attersee has a proud 13 beers and 3 types of hops, the refreshment with hop lemonade for adults, to their range. A total of 170 employees work directly at the location in Zipf. They are the ones who ensure that everything runs smoothly every day and are responsible for a large part of the success of the Zipfer brand.
Despite the numerous technical innovations and a merger with Brau Union Österreich AG in 1970, the careful use of resources and brewing with natural hops were always in the foreground.

Bottle from Sebilinz. Many thanks! Hazy yellow colour, creamy white foam. Nose of banana, lots of banana, sweet malts, some wheat. Rather sweet, banana, easy drinkable.

500ml bottle thanks to Kolshtrinker. Pours clear gold, medium white head. Aroma is very light papery pale malt. Taste is clean, light, simplistic as expected, no off-flavours, no vegetal / corn elements just a nice easy-going alcohol -free beer.

50cl bottle courtesy of koelschtrinker, thanks! A clear pale golden beer with a huge most good lasting white head. Aroma of grainy malt, straw, moderate strong pale malt. Taste of moderate sweet grainy malt, straw, pale malt, traces of honey, mild bitterness, boring!

Bottle at a tasting, beers thanks to Cuso. Traditional weizen character present, with bonus hoppy character which is assertive after a few moments. Subtle grassy character, more vigorous citrusy and exotic fruity character. Very tasty, very interesting.
