Cask at Awakening 23. Aroma is punch and fruity. Vinous edge. Hazy ruby tinged orange. Frothy foamy translucent white head doesn't quite provide full coverage. Sour dry fruit. Vinous. Underlying cloves and grains add bitterness. Light. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry finish astringent finish. Newtown have gone all experimental for the fest. More a Sour than a Wheat Ale.

Cask at Basingstoke Oktoberfest. Aroma has espresso and black chocolate. Murky darkest brown. Thin creamy beige head. Initial perspective is tangy sour berries. Followed by black coffee and malty chocolate. Underlying fruitiness. Medium bodied. Oily. Flat-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice enough but doesn't particularly blow me away.

Sour berry edge. Underlying caramel then appears into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. This ESB really hits the spot.

Cask at Queens Hotel, Gosport. Aroma is malty with a distinct berry sourness. Opaque dark brown. Bubbly off-white head. The sourness is the initial impression. Dark berries. Followed by sweet malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long astringent finish. Decent enough but at the end of the day it's another boring twiggy offering.
