Description
Crux is a crossroads, an intersection, the heart of something. In brewing it's that pivotal point where fermentation happens and anticipation mounts.
We’re Crux Fermentation Project— housed in a former AAMCO Transmission Plant and inspired by our location right in the heart of Bend, Oregon. Our brewery is a one-of-a-kind, built for non-traditional brewing methods like decoction mashing, open fermentation and barrel aging, and for leveraging the limitless possibilities that wild yeast strains and experimental hops present.

Draught at The Beer Junction, Seattle
Cloudy pale blond color with small head. The aroma is too mild. Good body strength;/the malt flavor reminds me a bit the malt liquors, this additionally has some resiny and fruity hop.
I didn’t like this much.

On tap at Apex, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is fresh, with Belgian yeast, fresh dough and floral hops. Flavour is a bit metallic, with dough and Belgian yeast. Quite dirty and some off-flavours present. Meh.

Pitch black pour. Not sure why a 375ML force carbed bottle is corked, capped and then waxed. anyway light bubbles in the head. Smells like licorice, smoke and chocolate. There’s a lot of smoke in this beer! chewy with a lot of chocolate, vanilla and dried dates. Oily finish.

On Tap at the Bend BP Finally a beer here with a few more SRM points. Rich deep mahogany with a thin line around the edge. Soft toasted malt with dark fruit notes. Big sweet dark maltiness. Ripe dark fruit and thick sweet malts from teh candi sugars. A touch of coffee. A rish wett sipper and the 11% will get you.

On Tap at the Bend BP Slightly hazy light amber Wispy off white lacing, Standard non-descript carmely malt aroma. Smooth soft sweet malt flavors with a nice fruity Belgian note. The distictive Belgian yeast flavors are subdued a bit and this is pleasant and easy.

On Tap at the Bend BP Clear golden with a slight wispy skin and lacing of off-white. Lovely sweet belgian malty aroma. Quite sweet fruity Belgian flavors, and rather slick and heavy. Expected a bit ore light and spritsy. Under attenuated maybe. Very nice flavors, Ripe light fruits and a little cereal grainiess. Soft carbonation.
