Bottle via Rakuten. A pretty orange copper in color with a thick fluffy light beige head of foam. The aroma is fruity with a bit of butter pine and perhaps most surprisingly even a hint of biscuity malts. Lovely soft mouthfeel on a light body. The taste is fruity hops (papaya, guava, etc.), a bit of woodsy pine and a bit of some caramel malt character. Sweet hop candy drink but I think it was even better fresh. Quite good for a Session IPA which I feel is a hard style to pull off.

After opening, I peeled off the Japanese import tag to reveal the bottled on date: 06/2016 so it’s over a year old! Still tasty but most definitely not drunk as it was intended to be consumed. Why does Japan allow these 1 year best by dates? Especially for hoppy beers...

Draft at Growler Guys. Golden orange color with a smallish white head. Nose is fruity, citrus and grapefruit. A little sweet and a litter bitter. Good hop flavors and a soft malt bill. Nice session IPA.

Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and tropical fruit aroma. Grapefruit and light pine flavor. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and light pine lingers with just a touch of missing backbone.

Bottle. Pours clear pale orange, medium creamy off-white head, dissipates slowly with nice lacing on the glass. Pleasant dank, tropical citrus aroma, buttery mango. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, nice hop notes. Yes, its a little watery, but that is to be expected for a session IPA. This is really quite nice; better than the ratings IMO.

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a white head. Lots of citrus in the aroma, but it also is grassy and especially fruity. Med body or nearly. Flavor is grassy, citrus (lemongrass?) with very light malt for a backbone. It’s well towards dry, and it’s very bitter. Sessionable it is.

Draught at Apex, Portland
Hazy golden color. Dry American Pale Ale, with some hop quality, a bit musky, but more could be done here.
Good beer, not surprises.

Draft - Grassy hops and sweet notes. Clear gold with a rich white head. Sweet malts and some grassy notes and a long bitter sweet grassy finish. Much better on tap.

Light amber, i like the sort of lemony, grassy hop character...to me it’s like really poppin’ fresh centennial or something like that. The palate is light, bit fizzy, and the malts a bit muddled, but I remain intrigued by the hop character.

On tap at Bend pub. Pours out a amberish topped with a small head. Nose is citrus lemon grass and a bread malt. Taste is as the nose with a nice hop touch.
