Lua One Very Important Thought Fruited sour with strawberry, pineapple, hibiscus and lemonade 6.4% The beer has a salmon pink/orange like other hibiscus beers I’ve had. The aroma gives sweet strawberry and pineapple notes while the taste is tart acidic lemonade and hibiscus. More on the sour spectrum than sweet. Nice and refreshing but I was expecting something more tropical cocktail like.

13.5 oz slow pour draft at Lua Brewing in Des Moines, Iowa. The pour is crystal clear golden, with a well built and lasting creamy one inch white head. The aroma is cereal grain malt, nice Saaz hop bitterness, and mineral. The taste is a clean, well balanced German Pils with the fresh cereal malt, the grassy floral gently bitter hops closing out with mineral. The palate is light bodied, crisp carbonation and a complex bitter mineral grass finish. Both this beer and Morning Light were very well made.

10 oz footed pils glass draft at Lua Brewing in Des Moines, Iowa. The pour is a clear golden with tons of bubbles building up to a foamy white head that falls with pretty lace. The aroma is musty grass floral along with a pleasant soft sweetness. The taste is the grass, dry floral, and general earthiness. The palate is light bodied with soft natural carbonation and a clean unfiltered softly mineral finish. Nice one.
