440ml can. Deep gold with decent white head. Aroma is quite strong but mostly golden malts. Beer is near dry, smooth but with both an upfront and lingering bitterness.

500ml bottle. Pours deep amber. Pepper, medicinal, floral, toffee, biscuit, bubblegum thing. Medium body. Odd and not unpleasant.

Session beer challenge. Pours dark brown. Biscuit, treacle, toast, slight savouriness, bit of rye bread. Medium body. Not bad.

500ml bottle. Pours dark brown. Biscuit, cola, lots of red fruit, bit of toast. Medium body, touch overcarbonated. Nothing special.

500ml bottle. Pours orange red with a big fluffy head. Hazelnut, blackberry, bit of hedgerow, bit of orange peel. Nice soft body with not too much carbonation. Pretty tasty.

500ml bottle. Pours black. Smoke, chocolate, wood smoke, cherry, lots of sweet red fruit, touch of harsh booze. Medium body. Lovely aroma but the flavour loses its way a little. Not bad.

GABS Auckland 2018. Pours black. Chocolate, raspberry, toast, blackberry, bit of cherry, more chocolate. Good body. Very nice.
