From tap at Speciaalbier Café De Markies, Leeuwarden. Citrussy, orange. Picking up some pineapple, tropical fruit. Softly pale malt. A bit sweetish, mild bitter. Body is medium. Fine average haze juice.

[12oz can from lowcostbeer.com as The Pink Vapor Stew at 5.0% ABV.] A bright golden apple pour with a ring of white head; aroma of toffee and apple; sharp, with a fresh sour apple taste and traces of other orchard fruits; then a caramel sweetness, perhaps from the beets, and some warming ginger. Crisp, clean and refreshing; a rather good sour beer that doesn't leave you puckered up.

330ml panda from LCB. Pours a clear bright amber with small off white consistent head. Aroma of mandarin, sweet light toasted malt, resin, spice hint. Taste of orange, malt, bitter grassy hops, touch of grapefruit, pine, pepper. Medium bodied, chewy, moderate carbonation, oily. Decent.

330ml panda from LCB. Semi-hazed dark gold with consistent white head. Aroma of orange, pine and caramel, pepper with alcohol hint - fairly standard for the style. Taste of tangy marmalade, flora, pine resin, sweet malt with a reasonable bitter kick to balance. Near full bodied, somewhat chewy, warming. Basic but enough going on to be an enjoyable sip.

330ml panda from LCB. Pours a light clouded bright gold with wispy but consistent white top. Aroma of tinned peaches and pineapple, hint of citrus rind, creamy malt and grassy-spice. Taste has a creamy oat and barley malt with orange zest, pineapple, some earthy grapefruit and grass. A touch light of body for the strength but has a slick easy drinking quality. Not bad.

[12oz can from Lowcostbeer.com] An opaque straw coloured pour with a loose white head; sour citrus aroma with some floral perfume as well; smooth milky texture with a sharp citrus taste; then a mellower milkshake style finish with lingering lemon sorbet.
