Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a minor clear glow towards the bottom - still fairly light in colour, all with a thick three to four centimetre tall off-whte head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of bread, yeast, oats, caster sugar and some very light hop notes without any real depth or profile - seemingly layered on top. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and dry malts dominate here, but a subtle sweetness and floral aspect comes out especially at the end. Some bread and yeast is also noticeable here, without anything too enjoyable as finishing this one out. Aftertaste is mellow with just the dryness and soft citrus components above the hay and especially bready and yeast components - nothing too enjoyable here. Overall, a pretty poor beer overall without any real hops, no depth, range or complexity - this is pretty bland and very underwhelming - avoid this entirely! Not good to sample as a reminder of beer of Virginia while I'm gone, but good for me to remember how much better the options are while in Alaska! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Giant in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 03-June-2021 for US$1,99, canned on 18-May-2021, sampled at my house here in Washington just a few hours before leaving for Alaska on 21-June-2021.
