Sewery smell with coriander and banana notes struggling to break through. Milky yellow, thin head. Banana is more in the forefront on the palate, but fecal notes remain. Finishes with lemon and coriander. Light body, spritzy, harsh. A witbierish hefeweizen, I’ve had another beer like this recently. I hope it isn’t a trend. A bit disappointing since I thoroughly enjoyed this brewer’s weizen bock.

Bottle from Village Market & Bistro in Winchester. Opaque maroon brown color, massive beige ice cream cone head with good retention. Aroma of cocoa powder and light coffee grounds on a background of candied cherries. Taste is sweet sour chocolate covered cherries. The hi carbonation definitely hurts the mouthfeel and it doesn’t have much body to it. But it’s not that bad, really, especially given what I expected from the other ratings. Could it be improving with time?

Bottle. Murky pale straw, thin creamy off-white head. Good retention. Aroma of bread, doughy malt, dry citrus, lactic acid and some rotten egg. Taste is thankfully better, bready malt, stone fruit wheat, spice, hints of lactic acid, Skittles candy. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering spice.
