Description
In 1996 Pabst, once one of the largest breweries in the United States closed down its production in Milwaukee after 152 years. Since then Pabst’s legacy brands like Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR), Old Milwaukee, Lone Star, Rainier, Stroh’s, Old Style and Schlitz are brewed under contract by third parties. For nearly two decades, MillerCoors brews and distributes all of Pabst's beers under an agreement. In 2019, it has entered with City Brewing Company into a 20-year contract production agreement until 2040. Pabst will gradually transfer from 2021 until 2024 its production from MillerCoors to City Brewing.

I have to admit that I prefer this to macroswill otherwise known as "Budweiser" or "Miller." This went down well tonight, considering Miami's (OH) resounding victory over Bowling Green for the MAC Championship. Golden-bodied, with a sour socks aroma. Has some flavor (albeit mostly adjunct) and still goes down smooth. A good cheap bar beer for the masses.

Here in St.lou they had this crap at the local supermarket for $4.50 a 12 pack bottles. No real taste or look. My buddy bet a 12 pack on a round of golf, i won and this is the crap he bought me.

Not much to write about this one. Thin, watery, light yellow. Small trace of hop aroma. slightly bitter taste. The best thing about it is the price. --- Beer merged from original tick of Schmidt on 21 Aug 2018 at 18:27 - Score: 1. Original review text: 9/8/03

I like this beer. I drink it by choice when I want something really cheap in bulk. It’s good on tap too. Lots of acetyldehyde, but dosent have any chemical flavor and there’s a bit more body to it then the regulars from BMC.

Let's face it, the best thing about this beer is the comments that people are writing about it. The entertainment value alone from visiting the PBR page was worth the 950ml of pain I endured trying to drink it.
