Description
Brouwerij Egmond heeft een licentie met de abdij van Egmond en is het enige Benedictijner abdijbier van Nederland. Na een lange tijd het bier in België bij de Proefbrouwerij te hebben laten brouwen, is in 2018 Brouwerij Egmond geopend in Egmond aan den Hoef.

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie. Het is een troebel oranje bier met een volle schuimkraag welke snel weg ebt. het heeft een aroma van citrus en sinaasappel. De smaak is fruitig, zacht zoet en hoppig met een volle bittere smaak.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear, nutty brown with a small, off-white head. Some dark, dried fruits with brown sugars. Solid body, delicious dried, dark fruits, chocolate and brown sugar. Some faint, balancing bitterness. Not the most impressive within the style, but still nice enough. 240123

Bottle 33cl. from the brewery @home poured into a shaker. Slightly hazy pale amber colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma sweet malts, orange, apricot, grain notes. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, orange, grainy, light honey, candy sugar. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, grainy and sugary notes, nice.

Bottle 33c. from the brewery @home poured into a thistle glass. Clear deep amber colour, small moussy beige colour, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma roasted malts, liquorice, caramel, brown sugar, dried dark fruits, light alcohol notes. Taste light light heavy sweet and slightly bitter, malty, caramel, liquorice, brown sugar, maple syrup, dried dark fruits, alcohol notes. Above medium body, oily to sticky texture, soft carbonation, smooth malty sweetbitter aftertaste, rich and tasty, boozy notes, easy to drink, very nice brew.

Op tap bij Gunnery's, Alkmaar. Troebelgele kleur, witte kraag. Romig, bloemig, hint van honing, redelijk zoet, licht kruidig, licht granig, bittere finish, korianderzaad. Medium body. Degelijk.
