Flaske fra polet: et forbilledlig skum og en tydelig aroma av mørk malt og citrushumler. Bitter sjokolade, kaffe og litt bærsødme (med noe tobakk lurende i bakgrunnen). Black ipa er ikke min favoritt, men synes allikevel at dette er en meget kreasjon.

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. A dark, dark brown beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head leaving lacings. It’s roasted towards burnt in the aroma, with dried fruits and a faint meaty hint. Sweet flavor with roasted malts, dark dried fruits and a meaty touch. Some chili-ish notes. Full body, dry-ish and with a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting finish. A pretty nice and tasteful one. 131019

On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a dense, creamy, off-white head leaving some lacings. Hoppy nose with little malts. Peaches, pineapple and orange peel. Quite bitter flavor with peaches and pineapple, orange peel and a faint malty touch. Medium to full body, with a lasting fruity and bitter finish. A quite tasteful and moreish one. 131019

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. A lightly unclear, pale amber beer with a small, light beige head leaving some lacings. Caramel, nuts, pine cines and some citrus peel in the aroma. The flavor has a little sweetness, bitterness to deal with it, as well as the caramel and nuts known from the aroma. Citrusy, piney hops too. Full body and a pleasant carbonation. A nice-ish beer that doesn’t impress. 131019

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. It pours a hazy, golden body under a medium sized off-white to beige head leaving a few lacings. Orange peel, nuts and a burnt note in the aroma. Orange peel and bitterness dominating the flavor, with a nutty maltyness. Full-bodied and semi-dry with a nice carbonation level. An unusual one, not sure if I like it or not. But at least I know I think it’s too nutty and burnt. 131019

Medium beige head. Slightly hazy deep dark red body with small visible particles. Roasty dusty caramel aroma with cardamom and fruit notes. Dry-sweet earthy dusty caramel taste with roasty toffee notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel, faintly mealy. Dryish resiny roasty caramelly aftertaste with dusty spicy roasted sugar and oil notes. Lovely taste, harmonic, vivid, and full of flavour. A really nice beer, and highly drinkable. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly web order.)

Medium beige head. Clear beautiful deep brown body. Fruity wooden resiny aroma with meaty notes. Dryish resiny fruity taste with perfumy cocos notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel.
