(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 18 June 2013) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, treacle toffee, crisp-bread and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange, apricots, caramel, hints of rye and a certain spicy, citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and highly drinkable. Nice one.

Draught at BrewDog Bar, Stockholm (as CAP American Pale Ale). Almost clear amber, small head. Rich aroma of lychee and grapefruit. Dryish with light-medium body and clean, crisp mouthfeel. Citric tropical fruit hops dominates. Balanced salty bitterness. Nicely refreshing!

Flaska från Systembolaget. Djuporange färg. Knuten doft där grape till slut identifieras. Sötma och beska möts i smak. Stor spritighet. Vilken besvikelse. Avrundas med ett rungande i?m not curious anymore.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark golden with a large white head. On the sweet side with hops, grape, pine and caramel. The finish was bitter with notes of alcohol. A bit one-dimensional. 199 SEK for a bottle was way too much.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 4 July 2013) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, orange peel and treacle toffee. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, orange peel, dried fruit, honey, treacle toffee, a touch of marzipan and generous citric bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Nice, but quite balanced, hop character, with plenty of malt to back it up. Very nice.

Draught @ The Rover. Pours black with a frothy beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is malty with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, peppery wood and hints of green chili and alcohol. Taste is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, bitter chocolate, dark roast coffee, green chili, charred wood, moist soil and alcohol. Mouthfeel is round, , soft, tiny roasted astringent, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is bitter with roasted malts, dark roast coffee and charred wood. Simple and quite good.
