Oddly enough I find everything about this beer seems subtle, but again, quite strong. The dark roasted malts, notes bitter cocoa powder, and soy, are soft but very upfront. Silky mouth feel, soft carb. Intense dark roasty finish, with a subtle dark fruitiness.

Can at home. Aroma is pale malt, biscuits, mild hops and fruity citrussy notes, touch of caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Not great, but certainly a nicely drinkable ale.

At Glaskogen 32 after an early rest day. Black with a beige head. Limited aroma, but the plastic drinking cups are not conducive. And suffering from a cold. Mildly bitter with lingering dark chocolate. Light side f medium. Charred finish. Ok.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, pale yellow with a dense and aggressive, white head. Yeasty, minerally nose with some floral hops. Thin body, high carbonation, bubblegummy flavors with a dry finish and a decent bitterness. Far from the worst. 120724

Can. A black one, topped by a small, dense, beige head. The aroma has coffee grit and roasted malts, some burnt notes, chocolate and dark dried fruit. Caramel sauce notes. A spiced touch too. Cloves perhaps. It's full to medium bodied, very lightly warming, and with a gentle, soft carbonation. Roasted malts, coffee grit, dark dried fruit, caramel sauce and some milk chocolate. Hints of soy sauce. Lasting finish with a burnt touch. A bit unusual, but nice indeed. 240706
