Bottle, at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. Not really sure where this came from, didn't think it was part of the festival, but it seems the chocolate stand served some beer too, and this was a fine choice with the lightly salty dark chocolate. Anyway, it sure was a good one. Close to black in the glass, topped by a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma has lots of salty licorice, along with burnt malts, some coffee and caramel. It's full-bodied, warming and soft on the palate, with a nice bitterness dealing with the sweetness. Not that it's very sweet, but perhaps a bit warming. Roasted malts, burnt notes, coffee hints and a good dose of licorice in the lasting flavor. Sure worth a token or two. 171021

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 6 Oct 2018) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with foamy white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, peaches and white bread. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, peaches, bread, mild coriander flavours and a low bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Not very daring, but fairly refreshing. Enjoyable.
