Hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of green weedy hops, light fruity hops and malt. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation.

Cloudy golden, short lived white head. Fruity juicy and sharp young beer aroma, a little worty (must), sweet fruit and biscuit. Similar taste - Orchard fruit and biscuit, lots of abbrasive tannins, tacky alpha bittermess. Not bad but feels so unfinished and homebrew-ish...

Hazy amber, loads of yeast and floaties at the bottom, soapy ivory head. Smells sweet and sticky with a light funky note, like strawberry jam which sugars gone just a little bit fermenting. The taste has that kind-of muddy / dirty jammy sweetness and a funky fruit seed nutty / astringent bitterness. A little messy.

Almost clear dark amber, creamy ivory head. The aroma is rich fruity caramel, red berry jam, almost no hops. The taste is just as malty, caramel, jam and cake. The spicy herbal bitterness is almost the only thing that (remotely) reminds one about a pilsner. The mouthfeel is full chewy, no lightness or crispness, no easy drinking body. A good malty beer - no pilsner here.

Cloudy dark brown, beige head. Aroma: cold sweetened coffee, bitter cooking chocolate, quite a bit of peppery spice. Taste: dark sugar / dark chocolate balance with just a hint of roast - a tad simplistic but nice. Light to moderate body weight with very little carbonation and therefore little carbonic acidity. Nice tangy black pepper-like bitter bite. Smooth and spicy, good drinkability and not getting into pastry/candy - like it.

Clear amber, ivory head with nice lacing. The aroma is cooked fruit and notes of sweet bread/cake, very light citrus hop. The taste is close - humble fruity malts, some cereals, dry spicy earthy bitterness. A nice unpretentious lightly hopped session amber ale.

BOTTLE. Hazy bright golden, white head. The aroma is subtle flower and Orchard fruit, spicy phenolic alcohols - a typical Belgian blonde with the balance shifted towards phenols. The tater basically mirrors the aroma - after a moderate start - pale sugar sugars, light fruit - there goes a spicy warming alcoholic finish that I quite like. A classic Belgian done right.

FEB-2019. Batch 2. Almost clear deep gold, giant spongy off-white head. Aroma has notes of dried pale stone fruit, cooked fruit, faint spicy phenols, dusty spices and maybe some parsnip. The taste has mellow candied fruit and crystal sweetness upfront, notes of boozy spice and quite a bit of spicy bitterness in the aftertaste. Does not feel dryer than before, even though it's much more bitter. 3,7/5.
Batch 1. BOTTLE from Berero. Hazy golden, white head. Only slightly spicy, notes of fresh fruit that is slightly macerated, baked fruit - smells nice, more like a generic Belgian ale than a saison. The taste is spicy and hot Belgian Blonde as well - shy malt backbone, notes of macerated fruit, light bitterness and peppery alcohol. Not what you expect when you think of a saison - quite good, otherwise. 3,6/5.

BOTTLE from Berero. Hazy amber, small off-white head. Smells of fruity caramel and a wee of citrus hops. Similar taste - caramel, but thankfully not too cloying, lightish body, low to moderate piney hop bitterness. Decent.
