Schooner on tap at The Grain Store Newcastle. Pours a lightly hazy pale amber with a solid head of white foam. Lots of tropical fruit on the nose, slight hint of malt. Very light body, easy to drink. Fruity, bitter, lightweight mid-strength. Damning with faint praise I know but 1000% better than any macro mid.

Can. Clear red amber with a good inch of pale beige head. Fruity sticky bun aroma with caramel, citrus peel, stewed peach. Sweet singed toffee taste with sweetness lifted away with light fruit notes then moderate resinous bitterness. Not totally my thing but nicely enough done.

(Can) Pours slightly hazy golden with modest loose white head. Very nice fruity aroma with lemon, orange and pineapple. Medium body with plenty of bright carbonation. Great taste. Fruity refreshing start and a good bitter finish. The citrus and pineapple at the start is joined by some herbal notes. There’s some biscuit malt in the background in the mid palate. Herbal and peppery bitterness in the finish. Very good.

(Can) Pours hazy amber with good dense off-white head. Pleasant fruity aroma with hints of bread. Great mouthfeel with plenty of soft carbonation and a medium body. Taste is great too, and develops substantially. A nice fruity start with notes of orange and white grapes. This is joined by caramel malt and then these are pushed away by some herbal hoppy bitterness. Very good.

(Can) Pours slightly hazy amber brown with big off-white head. Lovely aroma. Grapes, white wine, melon, bread. Smooth medium body with great carbonation. Excellent taste too. Quite a lot going on. The start, like the aroma, is fruity with sweet wine wine notes. There’s some good malt in the mid plate and a growing herbal and peppery bitterness. Very good.

(Can) Pours hazy pale gold with big white head. Amazing aroma. Very fruity with grapefruit and guava and orange. And hints of maybe tobacco. Medium body with plenty of nice soft carbonation. Taste has plenty of fruit up front. There’s peppery spice and some medicinal hints. Some pleasant bitterness in the finish. Unusual and enjoyable.
