Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a huge yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrusy fruits, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, hops, and citrus fruits, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours an almost clear yellow with a rich and frothy white head leaving some lacework. Very fresh, citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, some sweet fruitiness, again the fresh citrusy hops dominate leaving a good and dry hop bite in the finish. 180412

Light citrus hop nose. Cloudy gold color. Smooth, pine snd lemon flavor with clean and tasty malts. Not a deep or complex saison character but nice. Very drinkable. Hops work nicely.

There’s a lot of sweet citrus on the nose, followed by very earthy notes (almost like a stale bag of chips) and then a lot of resin at the finish. All up, the aroma it’s a bit unpleasant for my taste. In the mouth there’s some orange flavour with a fairly restrained hop presence and more of that yeasty earthiness. There’s little of the hoppy bitterness you’d expect from a beer that bills itself as being hopped to the hilt, and it finishes a little short. 20 August 2012 - Had another bottle of this, not realising I’d had it before. I didn’t notice so much earthiness this time, and certainly no stale bag of chips, so I wonder if I got a bad bottle last time. That’s not to say I don’t get any yeast - certainly it’s still there. Other than that, the flavours were the same as last time. Still a little thin and short on the palate.

Bottle. Pours orange with white head. Nose/taste of sweet fruit, orange peel, yeast, citrus and pine. Medium body.

Pours dark amber with a small fading head.Nose shows masses of fruity hops, with apricot and pine along with softer melon. Underneath is cookie dough-like malt and caramel.Flavours are similar; melon, caramel, pine, but somewhat faint. Finishes with a bold bitterness.Could use a thicker body and more carbonation.
