"Summer" refers to the hop, not the season it seems - but this is very summery. Bottle. Cloudy amber with a white head. Delicate aroma of honeydew melon with some grapefruit. Light bodied. A little bread under melon and white nectarine. Dry finish with decent bitterness. Some citrus along with earthy spices. Very refreshing. Constrained in that it seems to have no object other than to show off the hop variety - but does it well.

From a 330ml bottle on 23/12/2011. Pours a murky golden/copper with a big head. Has a tremendous, powerful aroma of passionfruit and mango. The flavour is not quite as big, but still very nice. You get sweet fruit (peach, orange and more mango), some caramel malt, and a decent, though not over the top, grapefruity hop finish. I’ve found Bridge Road beers generally disappointing but this one is excellent (as is their Stella single hop).

From a 330ml bottle on 13/12/2011. Pours a cloudy pale golden with a minimal head. Has a curious aroma of chemicals, stale fridge air, and some light fruit and honey notes. In the mouth, there’s a mild fruity sweetness, some yeasty flavour and a mild hop presence. Has an amateur home brew feel to it. Quite an ordinary effort.

From a 330ml bottle on 6/11/2011. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a big thick head. Has a strong, lovely fruity, floral aroma with lots of passionfruit and some lychee. Flavour wise you get a light caramel malt background with a big, lingering grapefruit hop bitterness. Up till now, Bridge Road beers have generally failed to impress me but I like this one. Can’t believe it’s only 4.8%.

Pours pale amber with a small head.Nose shows abundant amounts of tropical fruit with passionfruit, pineapple, grapes, peaches, etc, etc, etc....... Underneath are big spicy notes and soft clean malt.Similar fruit as flavours, before transitioning to sweet light malt. After that things really dry out as the hops and spicy characters return for an aggressive finish.Carbonation seems a little full-on.Really captures both styles.

Apparently the Bridge Rd version of Nøgne Ø India Saison. Growler. Cloudy gold with a modest white head. Aroma of grapefruit, white pepper, gooseberry, almonds. Quite light-bodied. Taste has some light dough, some stone and tropical fruit, lots of grapefruit and pepper. Touch of windex. Saison character is there but apart from the pepper it’s pretty subdued and a bit clean for me. Nice dry finish is bitter and spicy.
