Bottle shared at Bruce’s. It pours hazy amber with a thick beige head. The nose is fresh, bready, earth, orange sponge, dirt, light spice and candied peel. The taste is crisp, bitter, earthy, toast, orange sponge cake, bready, light spice, citrus peel and a touch of alcohol. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Alcohol and bitterness saves it fro being too sweet. Grade A bock of the double.

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Pours clear red-brown, thick off-white head. Aromas of malt biscuits, red fruit, toffee. Taste is more of the same. Sticky sweet finish. Expected something hoppier, but still a nice beer.
