Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate and floral hops. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A clear, dark brown beer with a small, dense, light beige head. Lightly roasted notes, some coffee and a decent hoppy touch in the aroma. Pleasant but a bit boring. The flavor too is roasted, as expected, itβs dry yet lightly sweetish, and with a nice bitterness. Some orange peel bitterness too, but not tasting orange. Lasting roasted finish, dry. Sort of nice, but a bit too dry I think. 120623

Bottle, 7.7%. Very dark brown/red with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice and a little caramel. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, medium sweet, little caramel, hops and medium bitter.

bottle at home ... deep brown ... tin tan head (after gushing massively every where) ... soft dark toffee malt nose ... way fizzy ... dark malts ... soft roast ... deep fruits ... soft caramel toffee ... light vanilla ... given how much it gushed id expect it to be sour ... but it ok

Two Bottles at home June 2010 and October 2010 ... both solid black ... with big brown head that colapses to a thin brown lacing ... June 2010 is much more chocolaty ... light meaty malt nose where as oct 2010 is thiner in nose ... little coffee ...but not much there ...June ... rich malts ... soft meaty soya ... dark roast 3.8... Oct ... lighther body ... big pine ... soft roast ... little coffee 4.0... old told both quite nice but i think i prefer the Oct bottle at home may 2014 ... June version ... deep black .. big tan head ... soft dry cranberry fruit nose ... soft chocolate roast ... soft milky malts .. light malts ... 3.8

RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting @ the Harlequin. Chestnut color, small light brownish head. Malty, caramel, some hops in the aroma. Taste is sweeter than expected. Caramel, earthy notes, soem hops in the background.

RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting @ the Harlequin. Hazy light brown color with small off-white head. Caramel malt aroma with soem fruity hops in the background. Nutty and caramel taste with some fruit notes, slightly bitter finish. Qutie enjoyable.
