Can from Tidens Farver. Nice creamy head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, lots of bitter hops and has a nice long roasty bitter finish.

Sour ale flavoured with strawberry and vanilla; from tap at Mikkeller & Friends, thanks to my girlfriend Goedele for sharing. No head whatsoever, not even a very thin one; hazy orange-glowing peach blonde robe with salmon pink hue. Aroma of strawberry jam, strawberry sherbet, vanilla ice cream, ripe nectarine, Cape gooseberries, dragon fruit, cocktails à la Strawberry Daiquiri and even Pisco Sour, lime juice. Tart, lactic-sour but spritzy onset, natural strawberry acidity apart from that unmistakable strawberry aroma, lime flesh and pitaya impressions too, finely tingling effervescence; smooth, slick body, a thinly white-bready core buried under a crisp lime-like citrusy sourness and strong retronasal strawberry aroma, with the vanilla playing the second violin. Pisco Sour and Strawberry Daiquiri spring to mind again, while that edgy lactic sourness keeps things refreshing; very fruity and focused, so even if this kind of pastry sours are not always my thing, I must admit this is very well executed – even my girlfriend, who normally detests vanilla, liked this one a lot. Another hipster drink stripped of its classical ‘beeriness’ and turned into some exotic cocktail – mission accomplished, in that sense.

Can purchased at Hoppy Craft in France. Pours a pureed light orange with small white head that fades. Orange on both the flavor and aroma. Leans into the yeast and malt, which tend to dominate vs. the fruity hops.

From tap @ Brewdog Göteborg. As Brewdog Deutschland Ice Breaker. Poured almost clear golden in color. Tropical juicy hops, citrus and some light pine. Heats my throat afterwards. Balancing chili, not disturbing. Nice.

Pours a smudge-muddy dark pink / bordeaux. Medium sized pink head. Scent is intense, red fruit puree. Mostly raspbery. Taste is fairly sharp, fruitpuree is very pronounced (again, mostly raspberry) . Bit sweet. Rather holow beneath the puree. Bit boring. Needs a better suited / more pronounced basebeer to me.

Can from BrewDog. It pours clear lemon yellow - gold with a tiny white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, sugared lemons, lemonade, lemon curd, grapefruit, bit green, veg, definite chilli spice, candy and refreshers. The taste is quite crisp, dry, pleasant bitterness, green veg, warming chilli spice which lingers but never dominates, lemonade, fresh, zingy, lemon curd, grapefruit, pithy, zesty, peppery spice and a touch of alcohol with dry finish with a touch of warmth. Average carbonation and average body. Balance is well judged. Was worried about this, but it works surprisingly well.
