New Beer Distributors, NYC ($2.25): Pours near black with a tan head that doesn’t leave much in the way of lacing. Aroma is chocolate and burnt sugar... not bad. Taste is pretty sweet. Reminds me a bit of cheap chocolate. Very low bitterness. Also, low carbonation that is actually a plus for this beer, as it makes it easier to drink.

Bottle. B&M. Clear, very dark red. Has a tan halo to begin with, which disappears completely. Some tarry, fudgy chocolate. Hint of coffee grinds. A little liquorice. Taste is sweet. A bit of powdery dryness. Decent mouthfeel. A bit of cola drink about it. Finishes very light bitter, with a slight tartness.

Clear golden colour, white head. Sweet malty aroma, sugar, grains, light straw. Sweet flavour, some malts. Quite thin. Sweet finish. Might perform better in a tropical setting.
(From 25cL bottle shared @ the ’tick countries & enjoy some good beers’ tasting. Thanks for taking the bottle back from holidays for me, Tineke!)
