12 oz. bottle, trade with daknole. Well, an extra appearance point just for its handsome silk-screened bottle. Beer itself is pale gold, a little hazy. Medicinal smell. Close up, I get some mild malt and hops, but clearly some corn, and a note of oxidation. Taste is a little better. Some prickly bitterness on my tongue. Bottle is Best Before End Oct09, so this is supposed to still be optimal. Not much malt, what’s new. Still, this comes across okay in the total package. Supposedly better out in the Caribbean than in Illinois in October.

A golden lager with a thick receeding white head. Light and grassy adjunct and malt aroma. In mouth, a lightly chalked malt with light grassy hops. Light bodied but refreshing on a scorcher like today. Bottle from LCBO, BB Dec. 2009.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep golden color lager with a large foamy white head with good retention and no lacing. Aroma of adjunct with lightly sweet malt. Taste is also dominated by some sweet adjunct with a pretty bland taste overall. Another world lager that is probably better if chugged on a beach in Barbados.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of daknole. Thanks! Pours a pale straw yellow color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Huge amounts of carbonation cling to the side of the glass. Aroma of corn, hay and light grassy hops. Taste is corn, green apple, grain and grassy hops. Thin-medium bodied. Not bad.

Bottle: Poures a clear golden with a carbonated white head. Aroma is sweet and grassy. Taste is smooth with grass and grain flavor. For a pale lager this isn’t so bad.

Pours clear gold with minute long bright white head. The aroma is corn flakes and noble hops with a mild background of graininess. The taste hits first with a bowl full of corn flakes and mild malt graininess. Nearing midway a moment or two of floral and faint lemon like hops surface before the sweet malts and corn flakes return and take it to the finish.

Courtesy of Tony @ OTH. Pours clear golden with white head. roma is malty. Taste, just the typical caribbean lager, plenty of malts, some grains. Little touch of sugar (possibly cane), clean dry finish. Refreshing. Nothing special.

330ml bottle from Plonkers, Derby. Amber with a rapidly fading off-white head; musty corn aroma; lacking any real flavour or finish, a tasteless and sweet concoction. Avoid.

Bottle picked up from Sainsburys Kidlington, Oxon consumed 11-06-08 Labelled as 3 Legends, but in small writing on back of bottle it does mention Legends Export Lager. Pours clear light gold, white bubbly fast receding head, sweet and malty, corny unimpressive tasteless lager, I’ll see if I can palm the other three beers off to neighbours before Loz tells me "I told you that stuff looked rubbish"
