Autumn Brew Review 2015. Cloudy yellow appearance. Strong hop aroma with freshly cut grass; this aroma is strong. Some pine. Good, bitter flavor. Some malt, but the hops are more prominent than the moderately sweet malt. A very good double ipa.

Pours a pale golden yellow, with good-sized, lasting head. Aroma is very dank, with catbox odors, along with piney hops and tropical fruit. Flavor is markedly dry and bitter, with tons of hop bite, along with some citrus in the finish. Steel Toe is making some of the best beers in the Twin Cities and here’s another...

Bottle, not C&C. POurs inky black, medium dark brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, nice residual and good lacing. Aroma is molasses, bourbon, vanilla, coconut, cocoa powder. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, bourbon and vanilla, woody with notes of chocolate. Medium body, perhaps a bit watery for the style. Not harsh, and not particularly hot given ABV.

Vielen Dank an Erzengel! Klare dunkel goldgelbe Farbe, fingerbreite weiße Schaumkrone. Der Geruch ist angenehm hopfig, grasig, frisch, Citrusfrüchte. Der Geschmack ist sehr malzig, kräftig hopfig, sehr bitter, Citrusfrüchte.

Many thanks to Jeremy for bringing it over! Nice floral nose, smooth and mild beginning. Nice intense pine, round and smooth-sweetish body. Very smooth. The bitterness appears only in the far end with a rough but still fitting aroma. Fruits, oranges, pine. Nice summer-flavours in the fruits. Long and intense fruity-piney aftertaste with not too much sweetness, but highly drinkable. Round and great intense brew! For 7% this beer is great - not too sweet, easy to drink and full of aroma!

750 ml bottle thanks to Scott on BA. Two year old bottle. Dark brown, super murky. Aroma is sweet with mild traces of whiskey. Lots of English influence.

Flavor is sweet right up front with huge English malt base, dark fruit out the ass on this one. Dates, figs, sticky sweet raisins dipped in sugar. The texture is sticky/ syrupy. Well, I really like it, the whiskey barely cuts through sweet malts. But, I enjoyed this a lot.

On tap at Muddy Waters. Pours a clear deep amber with a touch of brown and a creamy tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet grains, caramel and toffee with just a touch of sweet bread underlying. Flavor has lots of sweetness from, caramel and grain as well with a touch of toffee supporting.
