Bottle @ Brad’s house Minneapolis, courtesy of bnielsen13. Thanks Brad! Pours a deep brown/black appearance with a small, light brown head and big alcohol legs. Really rich toffee and thick caramel, dark chocolate, somewhat boozy, vanilla, dessert-like aroma. Super fucking smooth, rich dark chocolate, toffee, turtle (caramel, pecan, chocolate), mild yet tasty whiskey, a bit of vanilla flavor with a super smooth finish and only a touch of booze. Wow, I’m really impressed with this. It’s super smooth for the abv (honestly, almost no hint of the booze) and just full of dessert notes. Fuck yeah.

Update: bourbon version is every bit as a good. Fuck yeah.

22 oz bottle purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pour is a fully hazed light orange with a small 1/4 inch white head. The aroma is a somewhat sharp grain wheat, along with clove and some dry grass. The taste is the wheat grain, much softer than the nose, blended nicely with the clove and grass. The palate is light bodied, un-filtered mouth feel, soft carbonation, bit of mineral with a somewhat watery finish. Simple, straight forward beer, enjoyable. I like hefe’s that don’t throw off too much banana and bubblegum; this one fit that bill.

Tasty IPA, big and grainy and herbal, with a pungent hop middle that rolls into a huge bitter finish. Starts semisweet, with a great earthy malt middle, and then the hops explode into an oily IBU finish, funky and strong with a lovely citric herbal backbone. Finishes hoppy and happy. Very nice IPA.

22oz bottle via trade pours clear ruby red to amber with tan foam head and leaving behind a bit of spotty lacing. The aroma offers up spicy to earthy hops with a bit of crystal to roasty malts. The taste is similar with spicy hops that get pine like and nearly resiny with bitterness to midway making for a pleasing experience so far. Into the finish earthiness and a bit of roasted malts poke their heads up for a moment or two. Nice hoppy brew.

On tap at SPSBF. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some dark grains with caramel and bitter chocolate backed by some whiskey. Flavor is similar with dark grains and a bit of roast that is joined by bitter chocolate and caramel with a hint of sweetness from the barrel.
