Completely overtaken by the barrel. Caramel and sweet apple undertones, but this pint’s all about the bourbon, with a slight bit of oak and char on the back end. Good, just seems like more whiskey than beer.

Boozy as hell. Bourbon dominates, with a good bit of char, vanilla, and cocoa underneath. Pine, roast, and oak on the finish. Would be hard-pressed to call this a Black IPA at a blind tasting, but it’s still damn good.

Fruity and floral, with a grainy sweetness underneath. Mango, peach, lemongrass, and papaya lead to a modest mineral bitterness. Great APA.

Guava, cherry, mint, malt, and straw aroma. Pink-yellow with minimal head. Moderately sweet guava, cherry, light mint, biscuit malt, mildly sour citric acid, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Nice.
