330ml bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of strong roast malts, dark chocolate, pine. Taste is very bitter, roasty, some smoke, chocolate, touch of liquorice, well hopped, pine, citrus, lingering heavy bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied. An excellent India Porter, ranks up there with Kernel's for me.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A black coloured pour with no head at all. Sweet, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, marshmallow taste/aroma. A very rich tasting imperial stout, hardly noticed the huge ABV. Good stuff but a third was enough.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla. Taste of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, lactose, very creamy, bittersweet. Not a big fan of the coffee used in this it's very fruity which usually doesn't work well in stouts for me, but other than that it's a good stout.

Keg at BD Shoreditch, thanks to the barman for a gratis half pint - all I needed before a big tasting, 31/08/22. Murky mahogany brown with a moderately appointed beige head. Nose is sticky fruits, toffee, light booze, dates, brown sugar melt, prunes. Taste comprises sweet malts, fruit cake mix, raisins, sultanas, booze, molasses, toffee melt. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel, semi drying close with a warming kiss of alcohol. Decent barley wine if a little overly sweet and chewy at times.

3/9/2022. Draught at BrewDog, Norwich. Pours unclear and slightly murky mid-brown with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, dried fruits, plum, toffee, bread, yeast. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, smooth, soft carbonation. Came together okay but I’ve enjoyed the others I’ve had from this brewery more.

Dark brown pour with an orange tints. Aromas of rock sugar/caramel, dried fruit, slightly boozy; tastes of candies fruit, orange peel, fruit cake, some caramel/toffee A little less sugar might have been even better...
