Keg at Brewdog 7 Dials, 29/06/22. Golden pour with a white cap. Nose is stewed fruits, yeast esters, herb, glue. Taste comprises tarte fruits, nutty, hedgerow, yeast esters, light spice, stewed fruits, dusty grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable affair ... rather disjointed.

Bottle from Hoptimism jet black with a tan head. Aroma and taste are rich chocolate and bitter. Slight bittersweet chocolate then bitter to finish. Full body.

Tight foamy off white head stayed on hazy dark amber coloured body. Huge aroma of malt, marmalade & hops. Medium to full, sharp on the tongue with a thicker cloying back. Malt, caramel, pith, grapefruit & marmalade tastes with huge hop hit on the finish. Hop burn extreme.

Bottle sourced from the excellent Beerdome and drunk at home (21/06/2022) - New 🇬🇧 brewery ✅ - pours dark amber brown with a nice beige head. sweet and toasted malty with lots of sweet sticky malts, lots of caramel and toffee, fudge like sweetness, dried fruit shred, brown sugar, hoppy undertones but a proper big dense malty English BW here as stated, great first impression.

Bottle, 2021 edition. Aroma: Slightly hazy copper, beige head. Aroma: Toffee, sweetish, malty, dark fruit notes. Taste: Medium to over medium sweet, toffee, caramel and chocolate fudge, sweet dried fruit, candy sugar, malty, vanilla. Over medium to full body, just below average carbonation. Light bitterness, going to moderate at boozy finish. Bit sticky mouthfeel. A bit too sweet and too monotonous in my opinion.

Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Nose is alarmingly gluey and undesirable alcohol bi-products, big pear esters. Palate manages to be both light and slightly viscous. To that odd combo is added a crisp fine carbonation. Sweet pale malts, slightly thin for the abv. Lots of very estery pear things going on. A trace of honeyish fruits is the only good thing I can say about this train wreck. Light crisp finish. I admire the intent but fuck me, the end result is a drain cleaner!

Riverside Beer Fest 22. To be fair it does smell of cookies and cream with a hint of booze. Dark brown. Creamy tan head. Medium-heavy bitter. The booze kicks in. As does dark chocolate. There is a doughy creamy edge. But overall bitter. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. The aroma promised more than it delivered.

Keg @ Medicine Tap, Rochdale. Cloudy mid-brown with a thick smooth head and a smooth texture. It’s hoppy with light plum notes in both aroma and taste.
