A quite acceptable Norwegian Bayer, but not as rich flavour as I expected. Rerate: This beer grows on you - the bitterness and burnt tastenotes makes this beer probably one of the best all-year Norwegian beers for the grocery store market (ABV < 4.75%) there is.

Soft maltiness, light bodied and reasonably well hopped. Crisp, like all Norwegian style pilsners appear to be.

Pale brown. Malty, lightly roasty. Not very complex though, but I like the house character of this brewery.

Is this a Vienna style lager? Its malty, with both a sweet aroma, caramel color and flavor. Virtually no bitterness. I drank it down rather quickly - and would be happy to have more (too bad I bought only one)!

Very nice bock, with full dark fruit flavors, but all subtle. It had an amazingly soft and creamy mouthfeel. Nice sweet, fruity aroma. Not the best from Aass, but a very good beer.

Labelled as Christmas beer because Vienna-lagers are the traditional Christmas style in Scandinavia. This is one of the better examples, with a reasonably complex character.
