(Bottle 33 cl) Pilsener golden with tiny impurities and a creamy, white head. Malty aroma. Very light body indeed, notes of soggy grain - rather than malt - with an edge of cardboard. You do sense a touch of bittering hops, but in the finish it has vanished completely. 221105

Bottle. Reddish-brown with a amall beige head. Roasted malt, licorice, caramel and hops in aroma. The flavor adds some alcohol to that. Sour-bitter finish and a little sticky/oily mouthfeel. As far as I can remember, this one has had better vintages. (051112)

Medium head of white, coarse lace; clear, yellow body. Aroma of nice floral hops with some notes of straw and metal. This, mostly clean taste, with lots of hops and some caramel, straw, and water. Nicely dry finish. Excellent for a non-alcoholic beer. For a pilsener it’s decent, but with too little malts.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, dark chestnut brown with a warm tint of red. Small, of-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Quite solid and full body. Loads of roasted malt and sweetish caramel in the flavour. Yummy indeed. 071105

Bottle. Christianssands Bryggeri once formulated the reciepe, but had a ten year long contract. The brewing was transfered to Aass Bryggeri after the ten years, with the same reciepe. The beer is clear, light golden, with a decent white head. Both aroma and flavour is pretty non-existing, but not bad. (051106)

Tan, smallish head, creamy head with large bubbles, subsides quickly. Clear, dark winy red body. Aroma is entirely cinnamon and cloves, and some water. Not really that pleasant. Taste is like the aroma, but with rather more roastiness. No real aftertaste, unfortunately. Well. The idea of a spiced beer is good, but the beer itself is only OK.

Medium, creamy, tan head with a spattering of larger bubbles; clear, dark winy red body. Sweet aroma of syrup, cinnamon, and some roast malts. Aroma is quite thick and satisfying. Roasty taste, with a dry finish, which lingers in the mouth, together with the roastiness. On further acquaintance, a bit watery. A good Christmas beer; could use a bit more sharpness, but a good effort. Certainly better than expected. (0.33l bottle.)

Bottled (4,7%). Pale yellow colour, small white head. Diacetlyl and vegetables in aroma. Flavour is metallic, malty and vegetably. Unclean. Stay away unless you’re forced to drink this.

Pale yellow, not much head. Metal, vegetables and diacetyl aroma. Butterscotch, buttery flavor finishing a bit malty. No hops found. Very low quality, a bit similar to some low quality Polish lagers.

Bottle. At first eye-sight it looks fine, but there’s actually chunks of something floating in the beer! Golden in color with white head. Aroma is some grainy malt, but not specially pleasant. The grainy aroma is also present in their pilsner, but there it is in the background. Sweet, grainy taste. Some hops at the end. A real drain-pour. (051016)
