Tradiční pivovar v Rakovníku
-one of the few independent traditional breweries in the Czech republic
-brews all its beers according to the traditional double-mashed technology which means that the beer is fermented in open vats and lagered in horizontal lagering tanks for 40-60 days
-only uses the highest quality raw materials of Czech origin, namely Czech malts, Saaz hops and water from its own deep wells, to make the beer
-has the right to mark its products with the protected geographical indication Czech beer

Draught at Tommy’s Beer Cafe, Glebe - Sydney, on July 15, 2013.Clear golden color, white head with lacings. Sweet, malty, bread, banana scent. Sweet, malty, fruity taste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Draught at Tommy’s Beer Cafe, Glebe - Sydney, on July 15, 2013.Marked 4.9% ABV.Very dark brown to black color, light brown head that leaves much lacing. Sweet, raisin, malty, tobacco taste. Raisin aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Sweet, malty, sugary, raisin scent.It was like one of my visits to the Czech Republic, very nice.

Small coarseish brown head. Clear deep dark red body. Earthy dried fruit aroma with roasty syrupy notes. Dry-sweet roasty cocos taste with earthy spicy notes. Mid-to-light body. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel Dryish roasty earthy aftertaste with spicy sandalwood notes. Very nice and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

can from Billa Praha hlavni nadrazi. Clear golden yellow, fluffy white head. Light-bodied, cardboardy malt flavours with some dusty hops - no delight. Made by Pivovar Rakovnik, as the can says.

Tap at Starosloviensky pivovar, Bratislava. Dark golden color with huge white head. Malty aroma together with honey, toasted bread. Taste, sweet malt, caramel, honey, bitter hops. Bittersweet finish.
