Amber color; small creamy head. The aroma is too simple, a bit vegetables. The flavor is better, with medium sweet caramel, good body, good bitterness, some alcohol at the end. Solid, but not exciting.

Bottle. (555) A clear, dark golden beer with a small, off-white head. Sweetish nose with some dried fruits, fine hops and caramel. Nice, sweet and malty flavor with accurate hopping. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Sweet, pleasantly bitter finish. Well hidden alcohol. A quite nice one, without being lovely. Dangerously drinkable, and well-tasting. (090430)

Bottle, as Bakalar Lager. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. Resiny hops, some citrus and pale malt in the aroma. The flavor has a nice bitterness, but is a bit too citrusy and fruity for my likings. Pale malts too. A bit sweet on the palate, medium bodied. Fruity, bitter finish. A boring one, but also quite good. Can’t really decide on this one, but at least I don’t crave another one. (090430)

Bottle. A clear, copper colored beer with a big, coarse, off-white to beige head. Lacings. The aroma has some dried fruits and caramel, some roasted malt and hops. A bit boring maybe, but quite good. Dried fruits, caramel, some roasted malts and a fine noble bitterness in the mouth. Dry and full-bodied. Slightly roasted, bitter finish. A beer that starts off a bit boring, but turns out to be a fine, pleasant lager with wise use of hops. (090426)

Bottle, as Dark Lager. A clear, brown beer with a lasting, fingerthick, creamy, beige head. Nice lacings. Dried fruits, some roasted malts and some butterscotch in the aroma. Some hops in the background. Dried fruits, roasted malts tending towards coffee, some sweetness and a pleasant bitterness in the mouth. Full-bodied, dry finish. Roasted finish with dried fruits and some bitterness. Overall it’s maybe a bit sweet initially, but the roasted flavor is nice, and the hops are nice and gentle. Sure a decent brew. (090422)
