Pours amber with a fading sudsy head.
Nose shows soft pine and resinous hops, grapefruit, caramel malt notes.
Flavours are more robust with pronounced piny, spicy and grapefruit hop notes along with a touch of clean malt. Finishes quite assertively with a pronounced bitterness.

Can. Gold with a loose cm of white head. Aroma of mandarin and grapefruit, some peach and pine, light bread. Plainish light bready malt with fruity hops gradually overtaken by pine and firm bitterness. Like the way the finish grips at the drying end.

Press hazy amber with a large lasting head.
Nose shows melon, passion fruit, strawberry, clean malt, mango, guava.
Flavour include lime, guava, apricot, mango and soft delicate malt. Tastes a bit artificial.

It's very hazy gold with a large fading head.
Nose sure hefty amounts of mango, peach, apricot, and clean malt.
Flavours include more mango, papaya, apricot and pawpaw along with clean malt behind.

Nose shows spicy phenolic yeast notes, a bit of bready malt, some rye characters.
Flavours include lemon, spicy rye, bready notes, farmhouse notes. Delightful.

Pours black, off-white head.
Nose shows gentle roast, liquorice, a bit of caramel and biscuity malt.
Flavours include more dry roast, a bit of bready malt and a soft sweetness.

Can. Clear amber with an off white head. Slightly spiced citrus aroma with breadcrust. Sweet breadcrust balance by firm bitterness with plenty of citrus (although personally I like marmalade sour). Nice, if straightforward.

Pours black with a large fading tan head.
Nose shows roasted malt, woody oak, red wine notes, sultanas and liquorice.
Similar flavours; woody oak and roast, faintly acidic red wine notes and tannins, cocoa and soft booze. Not particularly malty in the finish, more in the dry side.

Now a 2024 can. Definitely one to seek out if you like Hel & Verdoemenis - although it's a little lighter & the bitterness is a little higher. Never seems heavy but packed with interest. Stunning.
