Bottle. Dark brown with an orange tint and a nice tan head. Rich caramel malt aroma, with chocolate and a touch of fruit. Rich, malty flavor, a bit of roasting and a bit of metal, wood, and cardboard. Caramel, chocolate, raisins. Nicely bitter finish is a pleasant surprise. A bit light on the palate. Not perfect, but a decent dunkel for sure.

Overall Impression: Had this one all over the place on a trip to Spain. There's a theme there, they drink light, watery, bland, but refreshing beers, and this one is no different.

Overall Impression: Had this one all over the place on a trip to Spain. Light, thirst quenching, boring pale lager.

Not sure where they get the 5 Stars...

[330ml bottle at La Parada, Reading] Following on from a weekend of real ales, this served to remind me of how poor pale lagers are in comparison, and what a triumph of advertising over taste this genre is. And this is not an especially bad example (inasmuch is it’s possible to differentiate between pale lagers anyway). It pours gold with a small white head but about the right amount of carbonation. It’s very light-bodied, but there’s definitely some grassy hops and it has quite a smooth and creamy finish. However, the overall impression is of a bland, tasteless drink. c3
