33 cl. can @ home // received as part of 3 pale lagers from Spain // this one was labelled as being the one that is not quite as popular or as good, the not as good part is slightly alarming because while many people thought that the previous ones were really good beers, I really beg to differ, although first one was sort of drinkable / ok // mostly drunk ice-cold from the can because that is really the only way to drink these kinds of things // wow, I quite like the colour of this one, this crystal clear bright golden, looks like one of those children champagnes or apple based soda’s, head is very brief & I see a lot of bubbles rising // aroma is quite weird sweet apple juice mixed with cardboard & I would say a touch of sweaty socks, it is sewage sweet, apple, reminds me in no way whatsoever of beer or even pale lagers // taste is bizarre & bad, cough syrup, sewage water, corn, sweet, sweet malts, apples, cardboard, bitter, cold water, floral, industrial cider, quite a bit of white pepper // body is not necessary watery but it is more like you can actually taste water being the main ingredient, stale water coming from some industrial park, lots of carb. but it is all fading insanely fast // first thing that came to me whilst drinking is that this is a homeless man’s drink, it taste insanely cheap but the weird cheap substitutes, non-beer flavours make this more interesting to drink than a lot of pale lagers but there is no way to call this good or even to recommend it

33cl bottle. Pours golden with steady bubbles and a nice head (well I used a tulip shaped glass, so it had a good chance). The nose has pale malt, lemon and green beans. The taste has cereal, sweetcorn and a touch of honey. The palate is close to medium in body with a tangy texture in the middle section and a tangy, slightly alcohol-fuelled finish. Overall, it’s not the worst, but no requirement to revisit.

Auch die Spanier haben ein Industriebier, das man als Strandbier bezeichnen kann: etwas spritzig, sehr leicht im Geschmack und lässt sich einfach trinken -aber ohne wirkliche Substanz dahinter.

Bottle as Mahou Cinco Estrellas Feria De Albacete III Centario. Deep golden color with medium white head. Malty, grainy aroma. Taste, sweet malty with hints of biscuits, grain, fruity notes. Far on sweet side for me. Not tasty beer.

330ml bottle from Systembolaget Kiruna. Pours a rocky off-white head, rather quickly reduced to a tiny layer. Beautiful, bright, ruby brown body. Roasted dark and earthy malts to the nose. Basically malty taste of almost burnt dark malts with hints of nuts. Malt-bitter endnotes. Average for the style (03.06.2012).

Flaske 0,33l fra Systembolaget i Kiruna. Drukket hjemme 2 Mai 12. Ultradyprød/svart med et høyt kremaktig skum som fester seg til glasset og varer lenge. Forsiktig kaffearoma med en undertone av røyk. Lite kullsyre. Smaken er røykpreget - men svært forsiktig. Svakt syrlig ettersmak. KI=5

A little cabbagey on the pop. First taste is quite pungent aged sharp pilsner. Good co2. Processed and now starts to show its near 6% alky flavor. Finish is getting to me. This is more than a pale lager; its like old country sharp pilsner with a tad of baltic avenue. Has lots of rude ale attitude about it.

0.33l bottle. A clear golden one with a small just off-white light sidesticking head. On the aroma this one is not exactly extreme. Mild sweet malty. Well, it smells like cold a pale lager. Nothing more, nothing less. It has a mild fizzing thin lager texture with a average carbonation level. Quite sweet this one! Malty, corn and s w e e t. Just another boring pale lager I guess. Ends mild mouth drying and more sweet. Unbalanced, absolutely no bitterness what so ever. 04.04.2012
