Description
Windsor and Eton are already famous for many things. The castle, college, river, racecourse and of course the Royal connections. In 2010 the four of us wanted to add beer to the list. In fact we had a wild idea to make beer the top attraction. So we brought brewing back to the heart of Windsor.

Nearly 10 years on we remain a ‘beer led’ brewery making outstanding beers of every single style and character. We offer a warm welcome to everyone from beer newcomer to expert, locals to visitors, the smallest club to the biggest pub and the local shop to the top supermarket.

We are proud to be part of the revolution in beer making throughout the world. As founder members of the London Brewers Alliance, we have helped grow the number of the Capital’s breweries from 11 in 2010 to over 90 today. Together we are bringing great choice and quality to London drinkers.

Cask at the Jolly Butchers, London on 3rd December 2010. Black with part-lacing offwhite creamy head. Aroma is spicy, fruity and with smoke. The kick in this beer is richly malty with berry fruits and grapefruit hop. There was a subtle but delicious savoury note. The finish is bitter with burnt malts and a touch of smoke. An engaging textured mouthfeel. Superb.

Cask @ The Bree Louise. Nice mix of citrus and black malt, but milder than the american black IPAs. Semi creamy texture.

Cask at The Bree Louise. Black IPAs are not my favourite style, but this one actually works! Think smooth UK stout with US hops

From cask at Bree Louise. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, light caramelish and vague hoppy fruity. Rather bitter and fruity flavoured. Underlying caramelish note. Bitter, caramelish and roasted finish.

Cask at the Market Porter. Pours an opaque, amber-brown with a mild, light tan head. Nice, lightly roasted malts on the nose with present, citrusy and piney hops. Flavor is quite nice. Sweet throughout, there are flourishes of roasty, salty and smokey malts, along with certain, resinous bitters. Even some hints of bacon. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Finishes sweet and malty, but with great roast and pine notes. Lightly lip-smacking. I think this beer really nails it. Superb.

Cask, Gravity at The Bree Louise, London Sat’ 13th November 2010 Pours black with a light beige head and a touch of redness shining through. Bit smokey I found on the nose, not so hoppy though which was a slight disappointment. Smooth and fresh tasting beer. Its certainly likeable. Wonderful hoppiness both on nose and in mouth, roasty touch of smokiness on nose. I enjoyed this and came across better than when I’d had it previously hence the re-rate. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

(Cask at Bree Louise, London) This beer was a pleasant surprise. It greeted me with clear, fresh and fruity hop aroma. Also, this wasn’t any hop bomb. There were also malts and mild toffee flavours to balance the hops. For such a mild beer this was really tasty.

(Cask at Bree Louise, London) A normal bitter with clear nut flavour. Aroma was ok but nothing unsual. Drinkability was very good. The beer looked good, too.
