bottle from Heuriger Edlmoser in Mauer bei Wien. Golden yellow, mid-sized white head. Malty base, quite light and pleasant, good grassy hops. Easy-drinking, pleasant Helles, by far not as boring as many examples of that particular style.

bottle from Heuriger Edlmoser in Mauer bei Wien. Pale golden with atal white head, citrusy hop aroma. Light and elegant malty base with a good hoppy finish that has lots of fragrant citrus character.

Das 2. Bier aus dem Hause Laessiger. Man beruft sich auf die alte Brauerei im 23. Wiener Bezirk Liesing, die bis in die 70er aktiv war. Geblieben ist eine ehemalige Arbeitersiedlung, welche aufgrund der architektonsch schönen Bauweise unter Denkmalschutz steht. Heute beherbergt sie einen Gemeindebau. Geschmacklich ist es ein süffiges Helles mit feinen Hopfennoten und einen frisch-grasigen Unterton und lässt sich schön trinken.

Leicht eingetrübte goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Grasig hopfiger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich grasig hopfig, fruchtig mit Citrus, leicht malzig. Leicht süß mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, leichter Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

330 ml bottle from Beer Store Vienna, bb 31.08.2018. Golden-amber, moderate hazy body, with a big frothy, yellowish head. Aroma of herbs, onion, flowers, grass, citrus, some cereals. Tastes quite similar, while with less onion and some more pine and a honey-like backbone. Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes dry, medium bitter, herbal, piney, grassy, floral, citric, with some honey, some cereals. Good, while past its prime I guess. Some distracting onion notes in the nose, which are less prominent in the taste though. Otherwise very hoppy, with a good, dry finish and just enough sweet body. Solid stuff. Zufällig gefunden in einem Craftbier-Geschäft, an dem ich jeden Arbeitstag mit der Bim vorbeifahre, aber erst jetzt besuche: Den Beer Store Vienna, dem Geschäft der Next-Level-Brauer. Kaum internationales, aber jede noch so kleine Brauerei aus Ostösterreich mit der vollen Palette -ich glaube dort hat man seine NIsche gefunden. Aber jetzt zum Bier. Es kommt eigentlich von einem WInzer, der eher für seinen Nobel-Heuriger in der Maurer Hauptstraße bekannt ist. Ob er wirklich daheim braut, oder sich wo einmietet, konnte ich nicht herausfinden. Es ist ein Pils, das aber stark an ein hoppy Ale erinnert. Der Citra-Hopfen erzeugt ein feuchtes, bitteres, grasiges Aroma, das mir sehr gefällt. Es ist wirklich schön erfrischend; nicht nur im Sommer. Hat mir wirklich gut gefallen.

BB 31.08.2020. yellow hazy color, small white head. smells earthy, bit leathery, bit citric, bit flowery, light herbal, grass. nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation. tastes citric, grassy, earthy, peppery, bit herbal, hints of caramel, some tobacco, thyme, coriander, rye bread. finishes bit sweet and medium bitter with notes of tobacco, coriander and some flowery notes. nice one, drinks very easy. a bit heavy for a Pils, but overall good stuff.
