(Bottle 75 cl) Very beautiful amber, with an exceptionally huge, rocky head. Some haze. Very high in carbonation (as with most Blaugies beers) and hence rather quenching. Spicy almost herbal notes in there on a malty background. Has some of the fustiness so often found in artisanal Belgians - it’s very much either/or if you like it. Rather bitter finish. 280597

Very spicy notes throughout. Fairly light-bodied. Some acidity towards the end - rather pronounced actually. But a refreshing one. 110597

A very explosive beer after two years lying down in the fridge - more than half of the content came out upon opening. An unclear orange beer with a disappearing head. The aroma is sweet spicy combined with notes of yeast. The aroma is sweet and extremely spicy combined with notes of citrus, leading to a dry end.

Dark hazy orange, lots of big yeast particles, big foamy beige head. Fresh, yeasty and lemony aroma. Light, metallic, citrusy, weizen like beer with earthy notes. Oily, earthy, fruity aftertaste.

Hazy orange, small orange head, lots of floating yeast. Nose is dry hops, cardboard and earthy notes. Very earthy (mould) flavor. Spices (coriander), bitterish hops, alcohol and maybe wheat also. Complex beer (but not totally great) - like a geuze on drugs.

Bottled. Cloudy golden with rich head and lots of sediment. Fruity,lightly raisiny aroma. Sweetish with pleasant malt and yeast character. The body is however a bit thin, an the character of the fig juice and hardly noticable. Subtle, and a bit lacking in body.

Beautiful copper color; huge head. Very nice aroma, dry, malty, mature apples and red grapes. Good body, some malt, a peculiar woody astringency. Correct final.
Below my expectations…

Hazy orange body with tons of dark yeast sediment, medium light cream head. Tangy, earthy, grassy aroma with hints of lemon. Rather delicate. Herbal body with flower petals, pepper, and grass with a touch of lemon. Spicy, rather bitter finish, with plenty of bready yeast esters. A touch Beatrix-esque. Not too exciting overall, though; I’ve had quite a few beers almost exactly like this one.

Hazy blond color. Malty aroma, good malty taste and the typical Belgian hops. A classic Belgian Stgrong Ale, very good, showing at the end a light liquorice character.
