Geschafft. Dies ist das letzte (Original) Kölsch, das noch in normalen Gaststätten angeboten wird, das nicht nur für Großveranstaltungen gebraut wird. Alle anderen hab ich schon getestet. Ziel vorerst erreicht. Das Kurfürsten Kölsch war nicht so gut, mal schaun ob die edlere Variante besser abschneidet. Der Antrunk ist leicht fruchtig und gut bekömmlich, der Mittelteil überrascht mit einem perfekt ausgewogenen herben Aroma. Der Nachgeschmack ist, wie der Rest des Bieres auch, recht mild. Er bildet mit einem angenehmen dezenten malzigen Aroma den Abschluss eines wirklich gelungenen Bieres. Es wird leider nicht mehr in der Bügelflasche angeboten, sondern nur noch in einer Hand voll Gaststätten in Bonn ausgeschenkt. Außerdem soll es nicht mehr lange existieren, was meiner Meinung nach ein echter Verlust wäre. Test vom 29.12.2005, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 11,13,15,13,-,13 - 13,10

Bottle: Light golden coloured, big foamy white head, lacing; faint, but distinctive fruity (peaches) and faint grainy nose; slightly bitter (fruity) flavour; distinctive, but mild, bitter fruity finish. O.K., nothing unpleasant detectable................

(bottle) Clear pale golden colour with a nice foamy white head. Shy sweet malty nose, slightly sweet malty taste with honey and a dense banana fruitiness and moderate hopbitter finish. Solid Kölsch at low-price.

On tap at the Peters Brauhaus, Cologne: Pale golden, thin but stable white head; very shy nose, hardly any aroma detectable, only a tinge of grains; light fruity taste, a bit sourish; short, almost watery, slightly bitter finish. Well drinkable, but no repetition necessary......

(tap at the Peters Brauhaus, Köln) Pale golden colour with a moderate foamy white head. Not very intense aroma, sweet malty, eventually grainy. It starts with a light-sweet maltiness, bubble gum, fruity notes (pear); grainy malty finish with a light bitterness, quite slim but not inharmonic. Clean and decent Kölsch.

Bottle. Fresh, hoppy aroma. Golden colour. Small stable head, leaving lace. Flavour is quite clean and has a hint of fruit. Medium bitterness. Nice mouthfeel.

Bottle: Golden coloured, thin white foamy layer; grainy and cardboardy nose, a bit sourish with a tinge of fruitiness (oranges); mild grainy taste in the beginning; very shy bitter flavour; fizzy mouthfeel; mild, delicate grainy finish with an illusion of a tart bitterness. Quite right........!

Schon der Anblick gefällt bei diesem Bier besser als beim Kölsch, die Krone ist dicht wie eine Mauer und bleibt währne des gesmten Trinkprozesses erhalten, Weltklasse! Der Antrunk ist frisch, hopfig und leicht würzig, sehr stimmig und vollmundig. Der Mittelteil lässt sich ebenso beschreiben, im Nachgeschmack wird es dann mittelherb, das einzige, was dem Dom Kölsch nahe kommt. Das Bier ist mild, aber nicht wässrig. (bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a medium foamy white head. Malty and fruity aroma with a tinge of cake dough. Slightly sweet flavour, malty and light fruity taste with a good balanced hoppiness in the finish. Decent Kölsch, lacks a bit body.
