De oudere generatie heeft Brouwerij Eylenbosch Huizingen nog gekend.
Mijn familie evolueerde van een seizoensgebonden boerderij-brouwerij uit tot twee geburende ambachten. In de "Teloorgang van de Geuze" is ook deze brouwerij bezweken. Desondanks is het brouwersvuur nog niet gedoofd en rijpen we sinds 1965 terug lambiek op de boerderij.
Mijn ambitie is om het boeren en brouwen weer te versmelten. Zo kan ons streekproduct eindelijk weer gemaakt worden met grondstoffen uit onze streek.

2020 harvest, lovely aroma of cherries, taste of sweet and mild sour cherries, some wood, subtle and balances, nice stuff..

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5
Hazy blond colou with thin soapy head. Aroma is super intense. Funky farmhouse and orchards. Tastes pleasantly sour. Apples, quince. Residual sweetness of stewed fruit. Very dry finish.

Clear red colour with no head. Aroma and flavour have a mix of the sweet and sour elements of cherry. Fresh, tangy and sharp. Not really dry or woody.

Small pink rim, deep red beer. Intense sour cherry aroma, overwhelming and satisfying as it just breathes the right thing. Sour cherries, the Schaarbeekse variety as intense as possible. In other words, the kriek d' antan as kriek ought to be. There is a underlying sweetness as from home-made cherry pie without sugar. Very fruitslick and fruit-filled. Medium carbonation. God knows how many cherries went it. This is a blast from the past, reminding me of the 3 Bronnen kriek from Beersel.

No head, and once more a beer looking as peach juice. Nice lambic nose with a bit of apples, turning into cider quickly. Quinces unmistakable in the flavour, along with apples and cider still obvious. Side aroma reminding of felt. Velvety texture, low to medium carbonation, bit (fruit)slick. Let's say far from bad, and finally a glimpse from this elusive relic surviving in the Pajottenland.

Pretty cloudy deep ruby to purple beer, small aery creamy pink head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, lots of krieken (sour cherries), very funky, bitter impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sourish, lot of tannins, sour cherries, acidic, nice stuff! Aftertaste: bit oxidized, cherry pits, some marzipan, acidic, fruity, complex, very nice!

Bottle. Hazy golden-orange color with white head. Aroma is quince, earthy, apples, leather, hay. Taste is apples, quince, a bit rustic, barn, hay. Mealy-ish mouthfeel with low carbonation. Bizarrely dirty, but pretty damn good!

Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is quince glory, nice funk, hay, fresh and fruity. Taste is quince, quite tart, some wood, a bit bitterness in the finish. Mineraly mouthfeel, sparkly carbonation. Good and fresh stuff!

Bottle. Hazy purple color with pink head. Aroma is disinfectant, swimming pool chlorine indeed (probably from the cherry stone?), cherry skin, plums, tobacco and leather. Taste is the same, lemony and acidic finish. Mineraly mouthfeel with sparkly carbonation. To be shared, not to be solo-domed, it's very aggressive.

Bottle. Hazy ruby color with pink head. Aroma is lemony, a touch acetic, marzipan, cherry skin. Taste is the same, on the acetic side, but still drinkable for that. Mineraly lemony finish. Sparkly carbonation. Fun!
