Description
Like so many enthusiastic beer seekers, the creators of Fidens found themselves traveling all over to discover new beers and exciting breweries. As their love of craft beer and the brewing process grew they started on a small rig in the garage. Over time they brought their talents together and established the Fidens Brand at the end of 2019. The idea was simple, to open a small brewery locally where they would offer a quality product like those in their travels.

Goblet of pulp. Leggy. Big nose, peach and peach schnapps, some bubblegum, mango, booze, key lime pie. Flavors mostly follow. Very peachy and boozy. Flowers, more orange and tangerine here than anything. Full bodied and sticky.

Mega pint at the brewery pours a clear burnt gold with a finger of white head. Nose is OK, citrus rind, some straw, something sweet, like strawberry dip or cotton candy. Flavor ramps that up, and it has the character of that candy sand you used to dip a licked stick into. Orange and some grass. This would have worked far better over their haze base. Off dry finish. Fine, but not their best effort.

Chewy juicy and tropical fruity with some herbal hops, pine, citrus, grapefruit and creamy fluffiness, faint green grassiness.

Can (4/30/26) from the brewery. Opaque, grapefruit-juice yellow, quickly fading head, trace lacing. Aroma is strong citrus and spicy herb (reminiscent of how a sour cream and onion potato chip smells). Taste is initially more quintessential Citra hop bomb with later citrus morphing into mild astringency/herb, cracker finish. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, dry, yeasty finish as taste. Good strength for ABV and for a Pale Ale. Interesting spicy herb component.

Pours a hazy, orange-pineapple color, with rather smallish head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit, and PEACH! Flavors follow, with PEACH! Giant peach aroma and flavor, which really enhances this beer. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. ABV is very well-hidden in both aroma and flavor. Minimal hop bitterness in the finish. Wow.

Can (4/29/26) from the brewery. Opaque, banana-smoothie yellow, tons of sparkle, thin head with fair retention, rings of lacing. Aroma is strong citrus, dank, musty. Taste is strong citrus, orange, hint of melon, late heel of bread. Smooth, thick texture, medium body, soft carbonation, equal parts malty & citrusy finish. Good strength. Nice and citrusy. Nothing earth moving.
