Description
Like so many enthusiastic beer seekers, the creators of Fidens found themselves traveling all over to discover new beers and exciting breweries. As their love of craft beer and the brewing process grew they started on a small rig in the garage. Over time they brought their talents together and established the Fidens Brand at the end of 2019. The idea was simple, to open a small brewery locally where they would offer a quality product like those in their travels.

Canned 1/14/26, drunk 3/22/26, compliments of tfontana. Thanks, Tom!
Light berry, spice, fresh, zesty citrus and a good mix of cracker, biscuit, white bread from the malt. No alcohol or resin. Maybe a bit of peach and pineapple lingering on the end, but not an extremely or explosively aromatic beer.
Refreshingly zesty with big citrus and light berry. A very sparse maltiness without fat, succulent honey is a nice change of pace and impressive given the abv. Zero alcohol here and another one that drinks much lower than its stated abv. Chalky dry hop with mineral and lingering, peppery spice alongside fresh citrus juice.

As well-done as this is, it still begs the question for me, "Why am I drinking a 10% abv beer that tastes like 8%?". This isn't college. I'm not trying to get fucked up here. Quite the opposite. Make 5% beers that taste like 10% beers. That's where the true skill lies.

Can from the brewery provided by tfontana, canned 12/31/25, drunk 3/22/26. Thanks, Tom!
Very big intensity of pineapple character as I'm pouring it. But there's a ton of hop in there too, thankfully. Typical spice-pine-chalk-earth-mineral-white grape that all of these hops coalesce to produce. Oh and citrus, of course. Some graham cracker-like malt redolent of the Julius series, but no big sweetness, nor any alcohol noted.
Nice and hoppy to balance the pineapple, which is either very tastefully-done or has fallen off considerably since brewing (or both). Graham cracker and white bread malts are ample and show depth and good dryness on the finish, all the while being aided in balance by a pine-grapefruit-like bitterness. Good juiciness, good minerality, with spice, white wine, light tropical fruit and such. Little bit of everything. Guessing the additional age on this can worked in this beer's favor; or at least as far as what I want in an IPA. Though I'm impressed there is still so much bitterness. The Triple Farmer had the bolder, more expressive flavors (as it should), but I'm pretty satisfied with what's going on here coupled with the lower abv.

Canned 12/29/25, drunk 3/21/26. Thanks to tfontana for the can!
Spicy citrus and rich malts seem fairly well-balanced. Tropical fruits in the background build complexity and depth. Touch of white wine and a touch of pine, but no alcohol here whatsoever.
Nice big mineral and chalky but not too chalky dry hop. There's a touch of twangy pineapple, but otherwise is varied tropical fruits for days with rich, but not quite too rich malt (honey and white bread). Zesty citrus spice helps keep it balanced. Some cracker and biscuit and more earth/chalk/mineral to dry out the finish. Very reasonable stuff with no alcohol, no excessive sweetness or any typical problems faced by these giant IPAs.

Pours a hazy, banana-creme color, with smallish head. Aroma has just a touch of green onion/garlic, followed by citrus and tropical fruits. Flavors follow and are all more pronounced. Light, underlying sweetness. ABV is well-hidden in both the aroma and the flavor. Mild levels of hop bitterness in the finish.

Pours a hazy, orange-pineapple, with minimal head. Aroma is peach and more peach--hard to sense anything else. Flavor follows: peach! There is some light pine/hop bitterness underneath, but the peach kind of overrules everything else (not a problem--stuff tastes great). Soft mouthfeel. The ABV is incredibly well-hidden, in both aroma and flavor. Mild level of hop bitterness in the finish. This stuff is fire.

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thank you for carrying this back from Albany. This round of Fidens has really won me over! Aroma is stronger citrus, mild white grape, mild herb. Flavor follows with a smooth, pillow- like mouthfeel. ABV is yet again, very well-hidden. Don’t get me wrong, SUPER drinkable. It is a little bit on the sweet side with the huge malt bill.
