On draft in Kilkenny. Slightly hazy gold with a medium fluffy white head. Nose is pine and citrus hops with a biscuit malt base to it. Flavour is strangely a bit more floral and biscuity than the aroma would suggest but still very appealing. Nice bitter finish, easy drinker

Bottle from O'Brien's, Athlone [250518]
Dark amber, hazy due to yeast, lot of sediment, thin white head, light lacing
Aroma - Soft sweet citrus, light mango and orange
Taste - Citrus zest hops, fairly sweet juicy pale malts, decent amount of bitter zest hops, orange zest, soft tropical fruits, some dry yeast
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, good texture, not too bitter, alcohol not noticeable. Finish is quite dry, bitter citrus zest hop, soft sweet pale malts
Overall - Too much sediment in bottle, but quite a decent IPA if a bit pricey

Bottle from the Wine Centre. Pours a typical Irish Red, smells like a typical Irish Red, and tastes like a typical Irish Red. Tell me why I would pay another € for what is almost imperceptible to Smithwicks?
