Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is caramel, sweet brown malts, notes of toffee. Flavour is sweet with a light bitterness. Medium body. Drinks more like a Quadrupel.

From tap at Taphuys Utrecht. Ripe banana, sugary fruits, coriander, yeasty esters, malt, some citrus. Medium sweet, bit sugary, light bitter. Medium body. Spicy and sweet, nice Tripel.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is robustly malty with caramel, brown malts, toffee, dark bread crust, touch of dried fruit. Hint of roast. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and mild bitter. Body is medium. Solid Doppelbock, rich malts.

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie. Het is een troebel amberkleurig bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van whisky. De smaak is whisky achtig en wat wrang.

Pours yellow, medium sized, lower stability white head. Scent has loads of lactose, citrussy hops, intense and fairly unnatural passionfruit. Bit of a mess, tbh. Taste is slightly bitter, but directly countered by the lactose overdose. Fruityness kicks in but let me tell you... Passionfruit without the acidity makes for a very cloying, unpleasantly sweet drink. All and all a bit..harsh. Description dares to call this 'perfectly balanced'... i guess we have a very differrent idea about perfection. Harsh to drink more than sips of this one.. Not the best combo of flavors and aroma's.
