Description
First brewed May 2015 based at The Neuk, Stoneykirk, Stranraer. Moved to the current location during 2020.

The couple behind Portpatrick Brewery, Keith and Lynne-Marie Stebbens who then lived in Cumbria stayed at Rickwood a couple of times a few years ago. They so loved Portpatrick and the Rhins of Galloway that they decided to build a house a few miles from Portpatrick and it is in an outbuiding of their house that the ale is brewed.

Latest news Januari 2021: Portpatrick Brewery is awaiting planning permission for a new location in Kirkcolm.

[50cl bottle from Maggie’s Post Office, Portpatrick.] A hazy pale amber pour with a rim of white head; little aroma; light fruit squash taste to start and a grainy body; then a clean refreshing finish.

[50cl bottle from Maggie’s Post Office, Portpatrick.] A hazy pale chestnut pour with a tight white head; malty aroma; biscuity malt taste; then a spicy English hop bitterness to finish. A traditional bitter.

[50cl bottle from Maggie's Post Office, Portpatrick.] A hazy straw coloured pour with a fast fading white head and light carbonation; citrus aroma; sweet citrus taste with a touch of oats in the body; and a zesty orange finish.

Cask at the SRAF 2018... Light hazy golden amber.. Small white head... Soft sweet banana floral fruit nose... Soft sweet herbal.. Light creamy fruit
