12 oz. can from H.E.B. Plus, Boerne, TX. Pours a hazy gold color with a white head and great retention. Spotty lacing. Sharp hoppy aroma. The taste follows the nose: Strong piney hops and bitter flavor. Faint background citrus notes with a drying finish. Not enough malt to balance the bitterness. Tastes more like an IPA. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Bottle split at the Level Six tasting, thanks to the Wingmane, 22/03/23. Murky deep mahogany brown topped with a good sized beige cap. Nose is dried fruit rinds, dark malts, toffee, dates, earthy notes. Taste comprises fruit cake, raisins, toffee, spice, molasses, toasted brown sugar. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a lick of booze. Okay sipper but lacks depth and barrel elements for me.

12 oz. can from H.E.B. Plus, Boerne, TX. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a tiny white head and fair retention. No lacing. Corny lager aroma. A very basic macro lager flavor profile. Grainy, light pale malt flavor with some pear juice and a crisp, highly carbonated finish. Light body. Not bitter. Okay, but forgettable.
