Bottled. Clear, dark reddish brown beer with a nice beige head. Roasted aroma with caramel and some fruityness. The flavor lacks the fruityness, but has a malty note as well. Medium to full body. A quite nice beer, but I like my stouts darker and heavier. (061124)

Bottled. Dark brown, small off-white head. Distinct cocoa aroma. Sweet and light bodied with clean mouthfeel. Completely dominated by the milky chocolate flavour, making it pleasant but one-dimensional. Low bitterness.

Bottled. Clear, copper-colored beer. Sweet aroma with malt and caramel. The flavor has caramel, malt and some hops. Medium body. Weak flavor and aroma, but nice after a bunch of boring lagers. (060929)

Bottle (3/12) courtesy of Papsoe (thanks!), shared with ozujsko. I think it’s this one... I hope it’s this one. It didn’t say anything about COOP on the bottle, but it’s set apart on the Svaneke site from the Mørk Guld, so... I’m guessing it’s this one. We didn’t check what it was before we had it, and we were expecting some golden ale (no mørk on the front label, only in the commercial description on the one in the back of the bottle). Imagine our surprise then, when this poured a dark red/amber colour. It has a huge beige head (that left nice lacing), and plenty of carbonation. The nose is mainly malt, with hints of honey, green apples and dust. The taste is relatively thin, with a roastiness dominating, up to the weak(ish) bitter roasty finish. A fine, nice maltiness is there, but it’s quite light. A cute, drinkable beer.

Amber/copper with little white head. Spicy and malty aroma - caramel - little sweetness.. Thin texture. Easy bitter finish. WOW, a lot weaker than the regular mørk guld edition!

Dark black with fine white lasting head. Aroma of roasted malts & chocolate. Fine lacings on the side of the glass. Easy smoke. Smooth texture, a bit watery though. Very pleasant and easy drinkable. However pretty ordinary.
