Quite hazy golden and light almond coloured body with a thinnish, single to perhaps two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, light hay, some passionfruit and guava with a dose of grapefruit around the edges, all with some minor pure hop bitterness underlying. Light to Medium-bodied; Nice dose of tropical fruits at first with a good balance of malt from biscuits and a touch of grain, with some mellow herbs and dry funk from the yeast soon afterwards. Aftertaste shows a great balance of malt and hops with a more tropical fruit sweetness following than anything else, but also a subdued grassy and herbal flavour, especially at the end. Overall, a pretty nice IPA that is dry, but showing a great balance and still has a nice tropical fruit bite throughout - from the smell to the very end, all, pretty much exactly what you'd want from an IPA here in Hawai'i. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Food Pantry [express] on Kuhio in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu on 26-December-2018 for US$10,88/six pack sampled the day after arriving to celebrate Christmas here on the Islands, on 27-December-2018.
