750ml bottle from Tavour - share among friends. Outstanding - light crispy complex. Lovely!

750ml bottle from Tavour. I freaking love Fair Isle beers - so damn good. The raspberries were so natural tasting - beautiful

Dark brown, just a thin head. Lots of bourbon. Light tartness. It’s okay. Light roast, but I won’t say it comes together magically.

Hazy pale but sorta greyish. Medium head. Stone fruit and mint on the nose. The ferm is a bit wobbly here, I mean the herbaceous nature of the hallertau is fun but the base isn’t at the apex.

Pale with a slight haze. Lots of brett and some nice orchard fruit stuff - quince, pear. Thin and dry, mellow brett and again lots of that quince-pear thing. To me this is a beer that really shows why H blanc is such an exciting hop. Hard to work with but get it right and it’s magic.

Bottle. Pours clear golden orange. Large fluffy off white head, good lacing. Aroma is a bit grainy, lemon, dust. Flavor is light plus tart, citric, rye bite. Light body, high carbonation. Not my favorite from Fair Isle

Tasting at Matt's slaughterhouse, bottle
Blond colour, clean. The aroma is farty, some nice bugs. Not too dry, smooth, highly carbonated, with delicate malt base, light fruit, jam, gentle bugs.
Very good.

Poured from 375mL bottle. Clear-ish blonde with small white head. Funk and oak with a hint of strawberry (maybe?).

375ml @ Matt's parents' place with a scenic view that was hidden by curtains this time. Appearance: a bit hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma: funky, oaky, a bit farty. Taste: along the same lines, weird soapy farty harshness. Overall: ok.

375mL bottle, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of funk (a bit farty maybe), some dry hopping, and a touch of fruitiness. Flavour is gently tart, with dry oakiness, some mineraly notes, and light fruitiness. That's a very mineraly mouthfeel, which kind of cancels out the yeast profile and whatever else might be desirable under here. Not bad, but far from one of Fair Isle's better saisons.
