Description
Founded in Saizerais in 1998, La Châouette is a brewery producing organic beer using traditional craft methods.

For a bit of history, "La Châouette" refers to the village's inhabitants and means "owl" in Lorraine dialect. It's a way of affirming our local identity and our roots in a Lorraine region rich in brewing history.

Bottle. Color: Hazy dark golden, white head. Aroma: Herbal, coriander, some lemon. Taste: Herbal, coriander, wheat malt, orange zest notes. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderaye sweet and light to moderate bitterness.

33cl bottle from LES SAVEURS DU COLOMBIER gourmet grocery store in Toul, France. Head is medium, tan, average retention. Colour is deep amber, light hazy. Aroma is fruity, caramel, leaves, herbal. Taste is medium malty base, toast, leaves, berries, dry on the palate, medium carbonation, good one, enjoyed.

33cl bottle from LES SAVEURS DU COLOMBIER gourmet grocery store in Toul, France. Head is thin, white, quick gone. Colour is shiny gold, light hazy. Aroma is banana, clove, coriander, citrus. Taste is medium malty base, banana, citrus, clove, decent bitterness, soft carbonation, ok for the style, enjoyed.

Taste is medium malty base, banana, peach, spicy, bready touch, nice balanced harmonic bitterness, medium carbonation, good one, enjoyed.
