Small stubby 320 ml can 6.3% thanks to Tobias picked up in Singapore. Pours a deep black color with a medium grey head. A rich nose mostly of metallic roast. Rich roasted malt, caramel, metallic bitterness, iron and even a bit of saltiness. Very nice. Reminds me a bit of the Nigerian Guinness, some heavy flavors. I’ve always liked the Guinness FES flavors.

Can 330ml.[ Courtesy of HenrikSoegaard ]. Clear light orange yellow colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, grain, toasted, fruity, alcohol, marzipan malt notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20130216]

Can. It pours a black body under a tan head of moderate size. Chocolate and some coffee on the nose, molasses hints and a faint hint of cooked vegetables too. Some roasted malts too. The flavor is roasted and chocolatey, with coffee and a little hint of molasses. Medium to full body, with soft carbonation, rather dry, even though it’s quite sweet. Roasted finish. A nice one indeed, pretty tasteful and pleasant. 130504

Poured a clear light amber with a broken white head. The aroma is malty but weak. The flavour is hugely malty with some alcohol liqourice bitterness. I’ve tasted worse.

Sampled from can @ Deanso thanks to Kermis. Clear orange golden color, just the slightest white head. Smell and taste malts, some kind of fruitiness like apples, sweetness and lemonade. Low to medium body and carbonation.
